What can finish the world
Increasing the violence in Islamic world is reaching to its extreme level. The last statement of united state’s president on Iran pushed the confrontation of western and Islamic world into the last and most dangerous phase: the last war.
The supreme Leader of IRI took this new strategy as a harsh and unbearable threat against Iranians and “disgraceful and harmful” for the Americans. Though Iran use to exaggerate and deform signals sent by Washington, but in this particular case they seems realistic and the message is clear. The title of an essay written by D.E.Sanger and P.Baker on 5 April 2010 in The New York Times obviously shows that everybody took the message: ‘Obama Limits When U.S would use Nuclear Arms’. Iran along with North Korea as an “outlier” is carved out an exception. It means that Iran is an unlimited area for any military operation Included nuclear attack. Consequently, Iran’s supreme leader called for “full military and spiritual readiness”.
We may simply see this situation as result of weak and delayer policies in the past. But there is an uglier face behind which appeared first time in September 11.
This hot conflict is deadly dangerous not because it may leads to another war in Middle East or Iran is not as easy as Iraq or Afghanistan, but because it pushes Iran to be more dangerous and “outlier” than what it is now.
This is an old political cycle which has a main role in United State’s foreign policy for more than 70 years: PUSHING A RIVAL TO BECOMING A DANGEROUS ENEMY. What formed horror of Cold War for decades, now reforms it to the horror of the second Crusade. There is no doubt that United States has everything required to engage an enemy. In fact, it has always been easier for United States to face an enemy than a political or ideological rival or opposition.
Ironically at the same day “5th April 2010 10:44 EST WikiLeaks has released a classified US military video depicting the indiscriminate slaying of over a dozen people in the Iraqi suburb of New Baghdad -- including two Reuter’s news staff. Reuters has been trying to obtain the video through the Freedom of Information Act, without success since the time of the attack. The video, shot from an Apache helicopter gun-sight, clearly shows the unprovoked slaying of a wounded Reuters employee and his rescuers. Two young children involved in the rescue were also seriously wounded. ” (1):

An attack on an obviously wrong identification and after remaining eleven civilians killed and one small child wounded: "Well it's their fault for bringing their kids into a battle".
The video shows few Iraqi detained persons look at the wounded child in the arms of a soldier, as he runs with the child to have it treated. Also there is a woman and a child walking among dead bodies. What they think? They think it doesn’t matter that I am a militant or not they kill me anyway. And this is what creates and legitimates the existence and operations of people like Bin Laden and makes it strong by the Islamic Act “Ghisaas” which says “punish your enemy exactly the same as you were afflicted”. (2) If America has a role in founding organizations such as Al Qaeda, operations like what is on this video are main part of it.
The horrible dialogues between U.S helicopters in a large scale perfectly illustrate the nature of their leader’s way as foreign policy: "Come on, buddy. All you gotta do is picking up a weapon."
Misidentification is the basic feature of current U.S military operations and foreign policy. In the case of Afghanistan, though the first mistake was using that country as useful weapon against Soviet and then dropping it for Bin Laden’s associates, it happened about ethnic complexities and now U.S troops are fighting not only with groups of rebels or terrorist organizations but a radicalized ethnic majority with highest motivation for martyrdom.
In Iraq, war on mass destruction weapons became itself a most dangerous mass destruction weapon against Iraqi people and its destructive effects are extending around the world.
Now, while CIA attempts to “Sustaining West European Support for NATO’s operations in Afghanistan” (3), America is about to entering to the third level of mistakes in confrontation with Islamic world by this serious threat against Iran.
America lost the last chance of improvement in its relation with Iranian people that could be happened through increasing “real” international pressures on Iran’s government to stop the violence against Iranian protesters. America provided and legitimated whatever Iran’s government needs to be an outlaw nationally and internationally. Nothing could be more helpful for Iran’s hardliners to legitimate their massive attack on social and political freedoms and to change the condition into a war situation, accusing any protest of being organized by foreign enemy.
Every body knows that a nuclear attack is against nations not governments. And that foreign threat pushes people to the hands of their governments. Also we all know that America will not use nuclear weapon anymore at least not against Iran and not at this time.
So this new strategy not only showed Iranian government’s anti-American policy so reasonable and gave them good reason for seeking and using all tools against America; but one more time made this country a real enemy in sight of Iranian nation.
America’s foreign conflicts are leaving the governments’ territory towards the nations’ in which it has always been defeated. But this time these nations have strong potential to acting together coordinated and supported with governments, movements and organizations. This situation inevitably set half of the world in front of the rest. It would be credulous if we think that disputes between Shia and Sunni are unbreakable obstacles for Muslim nations, governments and organizations to join together temporarily against common enemy. In 2001 Osama Bin Laden called for this new campaign and in his words there were signals for all Muslims not only the Sunnis: “this matter [Jihad] is not about a person or Al Qaeda organization. We are the children of Islamic nation with Muhammad as its leader. Our Lord is one [Allah]. Our prophet is one. Our Kiblah is one and we are one Umma [Muslim community]. Our book is one and this blessed book with the Sunnah of our generous prophet has religiously commanded us with the brotherhood of Imaan [faith] and all the true believers are brothers.” (4)
The last sentences of an article by the hardliner Editor of newspaper Keyhan in response to Obama’s strategy proves the full readiness of Iran for taking part in this new arrangement: “Although Islamic Iran does not seek and use nuclear weapon but using these weapons today can not be unilateral. And who knows? Maybe America faced with similar attacks in its own land. Certainly, Iran uses all of its capabilities and the other Muslim and devoted nations for crashing attacks against America in all around the world.” (5)
